housewarming.

Vivian is...

balding.
gaining weight.
and has acne.

at least she's not in her teens... yet. she's growing fine and i couldn't be happier. Connor was balding at around this time so i know it's normal. her hair is actually growing back already like peach fuzz. Connor never gained weight so i'm actually happy about this. Connor never had acne so i'm hoping this goes away soon. it looks a bit bothersome, but i read it's not.

Vivian is pretty quick and strong. she's already learning to control her neck and is holding it upright when i put her over my shoulders. sometimes she's feisty and flings it back when she doesn't want to be held that way. she does it abruptly occasionally and hits me in the nose with her head and it hurts.

president's day weekend we finally had a housewarming and invited the usual gang. our house still needs some final touches: fridge, window treatment and landscaping. it was nice to have a little reunion, as well.

Connor finally seems to be adjusting well with the baby. i was a bit worried at first but he's really liking his baby sis. he gives her kisses when i don't even ask him to and he likes to lie next to her in bed, pulling the covers for her.

Connor has found a new obsession these days. no he hasn't given up his balloons, but he's added spiders to his list. he also likes to sing... a little off key but very cute. the funny thing is he made me play the same song over and over again and it was driving me insane. he didn't sing along but he always made me play a song over and over. i didn't know he was memorizing it until one day he started singing the whole song. i never heard him practice so i didn't think he was memorizing it. the kid is a sponge these days. i get so ecstatic when he starts singing he asks me if i'm happy. i told him that i'm happy when he sings. the funny thing is sometimes he'll do something bad and when i get upset he'll start singing and ask me if i'm happy and i can't help but not get upset. kids know how to manipulate at such a young age. i will update with a post of him singing soon.
