kid is in love with the purple dinosaur. i don't know why but i'm not too fond of him. i think he's ugly, doesn't have much character, and is annoying. any cartoon that i have to watch has to be entertaining because i'm having to watch it at least 2x a day, morning and evening. he gets upset if i turn on sesame street. i've tried bob the builder. he doesn't have the same obsession as other kids with thomas, either. by the way, i don't like thomas, either.
now that i'm thinking of ideas for his birthday i don't like the idea that it's going to be barney-themed. obviously, if it's still his favorite then, i guess i'll have to since it's his birthday. we'll see.

this post intrigued me. it's obvious to me now that the makers of barney hit the nerve in kids. it's so annoying and flavorless, yet kids love it. i wonder what that says about kids' minds... anyway, i hate it and thomas too. go warner brothers!
