if for anyone, i should be doing it for the kids, but it's nice to know that they have fans out there to see how they're doing. i skipped on Vivi's 8 month update. bad mommy. so much has happened with our little girl in the meantime. thanks for keeping me in check, Olee.
my lil' chubby baby now:
1. eats everything in sight. we try to limit her bad food intake but she LOVES everything, including green beans, oatmeal, beans, prune juice (i mention these things because i'm not very fond of these particular food). she also eats crackers (ritz, oyster, gerber baby, etc.), french fries, noodles. i can go and on because it's basically everything. she still has only 2 teeth but she seems to use it efficiently. her only problem like her mother is emptying out what she eats. she has a bit of constipation so we try to help her out with prune juice. she's also drinking about 30 ounces of milk a day.
2. she still doesn't crawl but i think might skip it all. she's crazy fast on her walker and walks while we hold her hands. she also holds on to the sofa and walks a bit too. she still needs to work on her balance a little.
3. she TALKS. she says, UMMA, APPA, OPPA, MAMA, UBOOBAH (piggy back rides).
4. doesn't have much hair. i was contemplating on shaving it a few months back but then i looked at Connor's baby pictures and he didn't have much then. later on he started growing a lot of hair so i thought Vivi would too. i was wrong. she still doesn't have much hair and now it's too late. i don't want her looking bald for her 1st birthday. i'm contemplating on whether i should do it afterwards.
some random photos and videos.
this was actually when she was almost 7 months.
the kids in their rides.
Vivi half nekkid.
boong-uh bbang.
Connor studying his bugs and Vivi studying her foot, i mean eating her foot. notice how she takes a deep breath after trying to eat her foot because of her stomach. lols. (this was almost 8 months.)
Connor was doing really well with his baby sister but i think he's
having a little draw back these days. i hope it's only a stage and he'll
get back to his usual self.
usually this is how it is...
this says it all.
as for me, i'm officially an ajumma and i can't deny it now. i've been in denial but my body will no longer allow me to fool myself. i have been having so much problems with my body. i don't feel it's my own these days. i should probably work out, but that'll be the day. i'm just not the type. i need discipline in my life which i have none of. i've been sick again, my feet are dry/cracked (i've never had this problem) and on top of that i have a ganglion cyst which has been causing numbness in my toe. had to go to the podiatrist and get some cortisone shots. it's doing better now so i hope i don't have to go back. the list goes on and on.
Connor is loving and doing really well in tae kwon do (tkd). it'll be a while before he moves on to yellow but it's definitely teaching him discipline and focus. he's the youngest in his class but he keeps up with them.
tagged along hubby's business trip and went to sin city with the little boy. felt really bad to leave baby girl but i needed a vacay bad. i thought it would help me re-energize and it did. it was a 4-night/5-day trip. that's a long stay in vegas but since it being Connor's first trip to vegas, we stayed busy throughout.
since it was Connor's first road trip, we made sure we timed it right by timing it with his nap so that he wouldn't have to dread the long ride. when he woke up from his 1 1/2 hour nap we stopped by for a treat.
we checked in on sunday at the wynn, our abode for the next few days. Connor taking in the view... in his undies.
then getting comfy in his bed.
then off to dinner it was at the wicked spoon. thanks for the recommendation, Helen. it was definitely something different i was looking for.
tried bone marrow for the first time. i love meat, especially beef, but the idea of bone marrow just didn't fly with me. i definitely wasn't going to let it ruin my first experience with it but it just wasn't my cup of tea. i guess i need to use my carnivorous teeth to tear into tender muscle.
i knew it was going to be a nice vacation getting drunk (with Connor) the first night i was there.
Connor didn't even touch the yellow thing, nor the chocolate covered strawberries. he took a bite of the chocolate covered marshmallows and ate the gelato.
as you know if you have to walk through the casino, through the hotel, pass the convention centers, etc. to get to the shark reef. as soon as we got to the mandalay bay parking garage he said that this wasn't the place. i told him it was. then as we walked through the casino, he insisted that there wasn't a shark reef inside. i told him there was. as we walked and walked he kept getting upset thinking i was tricking him and going to take him somewhere else. finally when we got there he believed me.
Connor is fascinated by nature. he loves it but was afraid of the sharks... at first.
you could touch the sting rays, but he refused to.
jellyfish.
towards the end, he got use to it and wasn't as afraid. this picture reminds me of when high school kids act like a punk when taking pictures. oh, i fear those days coming.
as i was taking it, a shark decided to come up behind him.
my little sharkie.
the best part? Connor was FREE again.
afterwards, it was off to burger bar for lunch. ordered a wagyu burger. since i was sharing it with Connor i had to have it cooked well done. i didn't enjoy it much. i may have if it wasn't so overcooked. maybe i'll try it next time. as for Connor, he loves his fries. he even like the sweet potato fries.
afterwards we went to excalibur, played a few games and it was back to the hotel for a nap then swimming.
in the evening we saw the bellagio fountain show.tuesday: first it was shopping at the outlets and then we went to siegfried and roy's secret garden. there was no way Connor was going allow me to enjoy shopping if we went to it first.
a snack in between. he can't get enough of slurpees these days. he has one at least 3x a week. i remember when lil' TIT was little and she said if she won the lottery that should would put a slurpee machine in her room. i think this guy would, too.
Connor said he wasn't a tiger because he didn't have stripes.
looks like a baby here still.
afterwards, a nap and swimming again.
dinner was at pizza place in the wynn. weird drinking with Connor but i thought, 'why not?' it's vegas. tried a new italian beer, peroni. kind of like heineken. liked it.
Connor and his fries again. garlic parmesan.
wednesday: shopping at the outlets again. since i was shopping, he made sure that he had to have have something, too. apparently as he was watching tv in the hotel room they were running so many commercials of spooky buddy. i had to find a fry's out in vegas and buy him the dvd.
afterwards, it was swimming and then it was circus x2. i've never seen this place so dead.
dinner was at the wynn buffet. when i usually eat buffets my family (mom and tither) starve myself the whole day so i can die in gluttony but i realized i can't do it when going with my family (mr. and the little guy). i have to eat at their pace, which is regular restaurant eating pace. with my mom and my sister, if we could, we'd probably bring a blanket, take a little nap after stuffing our face and go back again for more. i'd also have to try everything they had there whether i liked it or not. therefore, i feel like i didn't get my money's worth during my buffet visits here.
Connor and i's dessert. the creme brulee was pretty good. i would have enjoyed the chocolate souffle more if there weren't any nuts in it. i don't like nuts in my food. Connor ate his gelato and we couldn't even bite into the candy apple. we would have been toothless if we did.
so hopefully, i'll be back in a couple of days. if not, then maybe Olee might remind me again :P
