moving on.

Connor is slowly moving on from balloons. he still has yet to overcome his addiction. there are times when they call out to him and he can't walk away when they're in plain sight, but he no longer asks for them everyday. he has found a new hobby... bugs, especially spiders. more or less creepy crawlies since he also finds snakes fascinating. luckily, he's still afraid to pick them up. he can pretty much name all sorts of bugs and snakes. it's funny to hear him say some of them because they're a mouthful. for example: goliath bird eating tarantula, pink toed tarantula, rose haired tarantula. he also knows black widows, assassin bugs, bulldozer crickets, praying mantis, centipedes, scorpions... more simpler ones: grasshoppers, beetles, ladybugs, butterflies, caterpillars, etc. he even knows a variety of snakes: rattlesnakes, garter snakes, rat snakes, cobras, pythons.

we go to the park and rather than playing in the playground, he likes to go bug hunting. a few days ago, we caught a praying mantis and a butterfly.

this day we caught a bee. i don't know how i'll be able to transition from bug catching to playing with dolls. i better enjoy this while it lasts. do they offer classes on playing house 101 anywhere?!!
