halloween.

dressed up Connor this year for the first time since we were going to a KAM playdate and also went trick-or-treating for the first time. we went to one house across the street to our neighbors. i wasn't planning on it. i thought i'd take this year off since i won't have a choice come future years.

KAM playdate was so embarrassing. of all the kids there that were excited beyond belief to be there, my son didn't want to have any part in it. talk about anti-social. the mommies figured he didn't go to daycare and is raised by his grandparents. he was the only kid there crying. luckily the other kids were screaming their heads off with joy that his cry was mustered... or at least that's what i hoped. hubby was catering to his anti-social behavior. when he wanted out, hubby took him out. so after letting hubby try to coax him for 15 minutes i did it my way. i told hubby to disappear so Connor would have no one to answer to, but me. within a few minutes, Connor was jumping on the moonbounce and chasing after other kids. when it was time to go, he was running away from me. with his theatrics, i was unable to eat, nor socialize with other mommies, nor take any pictures there.

these days he likes to "drive". i remember wanting and being jealous of those kids that had those battery-operated cars when i was growing up. this kid has 2. and no i didn't buy it for him. his grandparents did. he has no interest in it. he likes to drive the "real" deal. he'll tell everyone to get in the car and buckle them in. we live on a cul-de-sac so once in a while, i'll pull a "britney" and let him sit on my lap and steer. we live dangerously, don't we???

found this video from earlier this year. elmo kept asking for it. you can hear him say, 'again. again.'

After watching that last video, I think it's safe to say he is officially your personal body guard. Haaaaaaaaaai---yah!!

I was like Connor at his age because my grandma also raised me and didn't interact with strangers on a daily basis. But he'll grow out of it. Once he enters pre-school, it's game over!

Sounds like he just needed to get used to the place and then was able to let loose! Can't wait to have a kid so I can join you at those KAM gatherings. He's sooo cute in his monkey outfit.
