had a fun weekend. hubby wasn't so tired like he usually is so we decided to go to huntington beach. man was it packed. luckily our plans was just to walk around and eat.

had to keep the lil' guy busy while his dad was grilling. art time.

he wouldn't listen so i was popping his balloons. that gets his attention real quick. he doesn't like me popping them.




hubby and i found this trail near our home and decided to go for a walk after dinner on saturday. it was a pretty rugged terrain. we knew there are coyotes in the area, but there were signs to beware of rattlesnakes. on our mini hike we found a hoard of fire ants that were not only plump and huge. they were aggressive. we tried to kill them with our sticks but they wouldn't even die. they would instead start crawling up the stick. we also met a few of these on our way back home. we went back on sunday and decided to catch one. this one is actually only 2/3 the size of the ones we saw the previous day.
