4th year traditional gifts are fruits or flowers so i attempted to make edible arrangements for hubby.

hubby prepared a weekend trip for the two of us at palm springs.
before we checked in, we stopped by tyler's for a burger, known to be the best burgers in palm springs. of course, we started the early day with a beer.
we checked in at the palm springs riviera. it was perfect because there weren't very many people. i liked their renovation and the taste of the hotel. it had a very spunky, 60's, retro feel.
the first thing i did was take a nap. i forgot how it felt like to take a nap with no one to wake me.
when i awoke we decided to check out the resort. i found a pool table and there was no way i was going to just walk by it. we played a few games and made some wagers, most of which i won.
there were a few bars and we went to sidebar and sat outside in the patio. i asked for a recommendation for a cocktail and this girl gave me their signature drink that tasted like $h!t.
then we went to dinner at circa-59 for dinner. i was so disappointed in my steak for the price we paid but the crab cake (singular) and mushrooms made up for it.
afterwards we took a dip in the jacuzzi and called it a night.
it was a great getaway but all we did was think and talk about our little guy. i don't know how many more trips we can go on without him.
a day at the park the day we got back.
morning stroll at the school nearby.
