a good year.

i haven't decided on what to do with my blog. i want to give it a new look and feel but that takes time. i need time to search for one that suits my taste. i need time to format it correctly. there are so many templates out there but i haven't found one that's it. so for the time being, i'm going to keep it plain. it's under construction. anyhow, it's the content that's more important, which is Connor, right?

i'm most grateful for this past year. although it was last year that i had Connor, this year has been so much fun watching him grow. it makes me look forward to a new year with him. just watching him grow to be a healthy little boy brings a smile to my face and makes me appreciate what family is.

some photos i dug up on fil's camera.

do you notice he's barefoot out in the yard?

on christmas eve we went to visit grandpa at work.

Connor living on the edge.

Connor's 2nd christmas wasn't quite what i had planned. he didn't understand the concept of opening the gifts but he did appreciate what was inside them. it just felt kind of weird for me to wrap and open them. i got him some books, a small tent for him to play inside the house with, etc.

he did open a few gifts.

Connor got elmo live from his grandma and auntie. since he didn't understand the concept of opening gifts, i poked a hole inside it so he can see what was inside it.

needless to say, he loves elmo.

Connor decided to take a few photos himself.

grandma and lil' TIT came over for dinner in the evening.

christmas is also mil's birthday.

afterwards, Connor loaded up on cake, ice cream, and candy. i guess he felt elmo was eyeing him from afar...

so he decided that elmo needed to be put in his place.

the staredown.

the knockdown.the hit and run.

yesterday, the weather finally permitted Connor to go out and play. we found a park near our neighborhood that was really tucked away. the name fit it appropriately, hidden hills park. there was absolutely no one there so it was Connor's own private park.

we then headed to the shoppes.
