Connor doesn't like new places (unfamiliar places), new people. a lot of babies are like that, but i always hoped that he would be the type of baby where he would be friendly to everyone, but then again that would make me worry since he wouldn't distinguish family/friends with strangers. on top of that he HATES elevators. i think he has claustrophobia. he freaks out when we get in elevators.
SIDE NOTE: bugaboos are a pain in the ass sometimes because they don't fit in all the escalators. the width is too wide. so most of the time i'm looking for elevators.
anyhow, i was dreading having to see my dad because we have to take the elevators to the 9th floor. luckily this time he didn't freak out. i showed him how to push the buttons and distracted him as much as possible. anyhow, grandpa hadn't seen him in a month and he mentioned how much he'd changed. he's learned to walk during that time. he also shoved my dad's golf club around his office and nudged the ball with it. then he showed him how well he could throw and kick the ball. he was quite amazed with his athletic abilities. i need to video this, as well, to show y'all.
afterwards, we went to visit grandma at work. he freaked out and as usual my mom made fun of him. she thinks he's always like that because he does it every time he sees her.
we then went to toys r us. i've taken him before but he was too young to appreciate it. i think he's finally hit the age where he knows what toys are. he had a blast touching, playing, seeing other little kids, and running up and down the aisles. it was so fun to watch. i ended up buying him this toy. i had this as a child and it's quite amazing that no matter how old you are some toys will always be amusing to ALL children. i definitely know for a fact that it doesn't cost the same too. this thing cost a whopping $12. expensive, i tell you. i didn't want to get him something that he was going to get tired of in 2 minutes. i saw him play with this for a while and decided to get it for him. i was a bit upset when we got home and he didn't play with it, but he picked up a little later and started playing with it. luckily, it's still amusing to him.
these are photos i took of him a few days ago.
