what i appreciate most.

like jay-z said, '30's the new 20' (30 something). or at least that's what i'm going to believe.

this year is the big 3-0. part of me wanted to go out with a bang, the other part wanted to just let it fly by. for heaven's sake, it's downhill from here on. people aren't supposed to care about birthdays at this age, right? i had plans to just have a quiet dinner date with hubby but with the insistence of my cousin's we went out. i wouldn't have had it any other way. for that, 'thank you, guys. you know i love you.' we went out to buffalo wild wings (my cousins love that stuff.) and got pretty buzzed. i don't think i ever went out with my cousins and not had fun. later, to sober up, we went and watched, 'ironman'. i liked it.

Connor's 3rd haircut. he was in need of one... bad. it didn't go too well so we just shaved it all off. he wasn't having any of it. he ended up with a buzz cut.


here he is before. by the way, this little outfit he likes to wear around the house. j/k. it's for his birthday portraits. we were giving it a test run.


and after. last year this time we were having a baby shower. he was in my tummy. this year he's sitting with us having cake.


i let him have the fork and let him do whatever he wanted. he stabbed at the cake and then used his hand and poked at the cake. he was quite happy until he put it in his mouth and much to our surprise didn't like it. he must take after his mommy. i hate cream/whip cream. he then decided to wipe the cream all over his clothes.

as mentioned, Connor is standing and walking, while holding on to things.
