visitors.

so if you've been to my house you know that fil is a gardener. we have cucumbers, apples, tomatoes, grapes, kumquats, tangerines, peppers, etc. anyhow, the neighborhood animals have found this paradise. i'm not talking about the domesticated ones. birds, squirrels, possums, you name it. they've all visited and have left with their tummies full. we even have a fountain in the backyard and they come and take drinks, as well.

so fil decides to set a trap to catch these little critters. it was a pretty nifty trap. he used a milk crate and put some 'treats' to lure them in. as soon as they step in it triggers a little door to close, trapping them in. i knew it'd work but i didn't know how long it would take. sooner, rather than later, a squirrel was trapped. the next day, we caught a possum.

(disclaimer: the animals were not hurt or disturbed in any way, with the exception of a little poke here and there... and some spraying of water... to cool them down... from the scorching heat.)

afterwards, we took them to a park and let them go.
