so this weekend was quite an exciting one for this married woman. it's so sad that it's consdiered exciting when we go out to the movies... for an evening show. it's sad, but i enjoy it. it makes it that much more fun. i remember when i was dating my hubby and we really didn't have a place to just kick it so we went to the movies every weekend. it becomes a bore. i guess that's why all things should be done in moderation.
so anyhow, on saturday, we got our hair DID and went to pink's. waited almost 45 minutes for a hot dog that was down in 5 minutes. was it worth it? yes it was... for about 3 hours. i recommend the spicy polish dog... if your stomach can handle it. i knew what i was getting myself into when i ordered it, but i thought it was going to be worth it. about 3 hours later, my stomach was telling me otherwise. my stomach reminded me the day after... 3 more times. (anyhow, too much information.)
saw JARHEAD. not a jake gyllenhal (don't know how to spell his name. don't care to correct it if it's wrong either.) fan, but i wanted to see it. it was a realistic and accurate depiction of what i had already assumed. i find it difficult to believe that people can return from the war and assimilate back into society. what's even scarier is that some of them were never even really a part of mainstream society to begin with. i just feel vulnerable living amongst those sociopaths. i just think there should be more discretion in the selection process of soldiers. but then again, does the government really care? on the other hand, it's a few sacrifices for the greater good. but what is the greater good?
